Dommeti Chaitanya founded Chakkani Chitralu to bring the discipline of traditional Lippan art — clay relief inlaid with mirror, historically used to cool and decorate mud homes in Kutch — into contemporary Indian homes and workplaces.
What began with mirror and clay has grown into a full studio practice: handpainted murals for living rooms and offices, mandala compositions for meditation spaces, resin pieces for modern interiors, and miniature Lippan work produced by the hundreds for wedding favours.
Every commission is designed and finished personally, and every size, palette, and motif is built around the wall — or the guest list — it's made for.
